C’est la Vie

It’s been a rough week. Thankfully it’s over. I had to work a lot of extra hours at my “real” job this week since my manager was on vacation. Basically I had to do the work of two people all week for the pay of only one.  I don’t want to just sit here and complain but this poem from Dr. Seuss sums up my feeling about this week pretty well:

I Love My Job
by Dr. Seuss
I love my job, I love the pay.
I love it more and more each day.
I love my boss; he/she is the best.
I love his boss and all the rest.
I love my office and its location.
I hate to have to go on vacation.
I love my furniture, drab and gray,
And the paper that piles up every day.
I love my chair in my padded cell.
There’s nothing else I love so well.
I love to work among my peers.
I love their leers and jeers and sneers.
I love my computer and its software;
I hug it often though it don’t care.
I love each program and every file,
I try to understand once in a while.
I’m happy to be here, I am, I am;
I’m the happiest slave of my Uncle Sam.
I love this work; I love these chores.
I love the meetings with deadly bores.
I love my job-I’ll say it again.
I even love these friendly men,
These men who’ve come to visit today
In lovely white coats to take me away.
Anyways… It’s over and now I have three days off. Woo hoo!!! It’s going to be a great long weekend.
Here are some photos from the Pug Meetup my husband and I attended last weekend. Sadly our GPS led us on a wild goose chase to the WRONG lake! We still made it on time  to hang out with a couple other cool pugs though. Without further ado, here are some cute pugs cooling themselves off in the lake!

  1. What adorable pups! Gotta love Dr. Seuss.

  2. Cuteness overload!! Are those little booties he's wearing?!

  3. Winston is the pug with the bootie. He has a sore foot so the boot enables him to walk on the rocks a little easier!
