Saturday Snapshots: Weird Winter

This isn’t the sort of image you would expect to see in January but it’s what is happening right now all over my yard. We have been experiencing a very mild winter so far this year in Washington and a lot of the trees are sprouting new buds already. My herb garden is still thriving. I could walk out there right now and  pick sage, mint or lavender. Those plants never died back for the winter. Not that I am complaining or anything. There is still time for a cold snap to roll through before spring but for now I am enjoying the warmer than usual temperatures.
