I am participating again this year in the Valentines Swap hosted by Aunt Peaches. Readers from her blog who signed up are matched up and send each other handmade valentines. Each participant will make and receive three valentine cards.
I decided to make tiny message in a bottle valentines. The bottles are about an inch long and inside is a scroll with the classic “Roses are Red” poem.
I printed the poem out in size 4 font, then cut it out and rolled it up and put it inside the bottle.
You could print any message you like and stick in the bottle. Add a chain and you can make it into a cute necklace. You can get the bottles at the craft store or from online craft supply stores.
I packed up the little bottles with a note card and ribbon and mailed them off last week. I’ve already received one valentine card in the mail this week. Isn’t it fun to receive letters and cards the old fashioned way?
That is so adorable! I definitely prefer the old-fashioned way of swapping cards! found you via EBT 🙂
best, Duni

Such a cute idea! I mean… both of them! I guess I will kind of adopt Aunt Peaches gift swap and put it to action on another occasion, it sounds so much fun! And I am sure the recipients of your message in a bottle wil be delighted!

I'm with you, Sonya, the swap does sound like fun. I love snail mail letters and cards. It just feels so much more personal ^_^

Yes, isn't it funny how excited we all get when a real card comes in the mail as opposed to email!
