|Wife Carrying Contest 2010|
A couple years ago on Fathers Day weekend the family got together and headed out to the Mid- Summer Scandinavian Festival. There was great food and fun activities celebrating Scandinavian culture. One of the activities was the Wife Carrying Contest. This picture is of me and Rob competing in the race. We actually came in 4th place!! My sister and her boyfriend came in third. The winner of the contest won their wife’s weight in beer! The rest of us won restaurant gift cards. It was pretty fun. Hopefully we get a chance to do it again another year.
Another week has come to a close and the glorious weekend is upon us. I am not going to lie, it’s been a stressful week. I had to work a lot more at my day job because we are short a staff member for a few days so all the other responsibilities in my life got all backed up too. Anyways, time to relax and get all caught up on things.
I’ve got some great stuff coming up next week. I am doing another tutorial with Kanelstrand Living. A few month ago I wrote a tutorial on beeswax candle making check it out if you missed it. This time I’m going to teach you how to make plant-able seed paper. Stay tuned for that project. It’s a lot of fun.
Also, the spotlight series is back with an interview with one of my favorite bloggers Aunt Peaches. Many of you who read crafting blogs will be familiar with Peaches. If you don’t know her yet, go check out her blog this weekend and see all the amazing crafty projects she has created.
Recipes, garden updates, cute animal pics, my home renovation projects and more coming up next week!
